So after having the CD player for almost a year I figured out today there is a non up sampling aka direct mode on the player. Well that made my day- a touch more clinical sounding BUT i can definitely live with it since overall it makes a very nice improvement on soundstage and separation- bass is also more defined. Guess it was a free "upgrade" for me
