BLAST!! Cables do make a difference!
I just bought a replacement multimeter for a previous one blown up, and the hausers included for leads ....
Thus come tomorrow I will be revisiting the Mantechs, Communicas and such in search of flexible light-weight wire, buy the necessary terminations and demean myself to an activity that should not be necessary in the first place: Making up of meter leads that do not propel the measuring instrument off the table every time one wants to measure something. In addition, in the past I have found it difficult if not impossible to get loose end-prongs with screw-onable clips.
I am reminded of a friend who had a metal plate glued to the bottom of his multimeter for weight. I now understand why.
