Calling all Africa travellers

I'm flying to Nigeria for business on the 12th of August for 12 days and was wondering if there is anything worth seeing in the armpit of Africa?

I'll be staying at The Regent in Ikeja and working mainly in Ikeja and also on Victoria Island.

Hopefully the job will only take 7 or 8 days which will leave a few for sightseeing or travel to neighbouting countries like Ghana, Burkina Faso or Ivory Coast for a day or two.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
