Bought a valve preamp from a forum member - he says it is a "Mr Valve Preamp".
Have been very happy using the pre-amp in my home office setup and also tried it in my main setup where it showed potential. Does anyone know where I can get more info on it with improvements in mind. I have ordered an input selector/ remote volume control for it but would like to know more about the possible tweaking with regards to maybe substituting some valves and better caps etc.
Going via the preamp into a Primaluna power amp has a smidgen less detail and oomph in the bass compared to dac direct into power amp. The valves are GEC 12BH7A's.
What would be a good upgrade path and would it be worth pursuing such a course of action?
