Can you hear the recording microphone?

My system is super accurate. Some might not like it that way, but I do. Sometimes, when listening to certain genres, I get the distinct feeling that I can hear the recording microphone, or rather it?s colouration. Solo female vocals, violin and Cello duets. Basically, tracks recorded with a single mic, and minimal engineering.
Anybody else experience this?
