Busy evaluating a Cyrus 2 and Arcam 8r amplifiers and the Cyrus 2 has more clarity and detail than the warmer Arcam but the Cyrus is a tad on the bright side for my liking

Tried the Cyrus and Arcam on Polk and Dynaudio speakers, the Polk's just hurt my ears where the Dynaudio is slightly less bright

Is it possibly to tame the brightness? or is it not worth the effort ?
