Not sure which section this should go to
I have a little Suzuki Jimny which comes with really crap sound - so I recently I installed a sub/amp combo (2 channel 50w) - it was my initial understanding that they would power four speakers off the 2 channel amp. I discovered they did't actually do that, rather the front 2 channels off the amp (front), and the back 2 channels off the headunit (rear).
The headunit claims 50w amplification - but, its a cheap overseas Android unit - so - what it actually does is open to question
The speakers are rated as 50w for the front, and 75w for the rear.
I spoke to the installer, and he said they usually do it as above - two channels from amp, two from headunit - but, I'm welcome to bring it in and they'll change it.
So I'm wondering if I must have them change it to run all the channels off the amp, but that'll take it down to 25w a channel, won't it? Or maybe request the rear to run off the amp, and the front off the headunit.
At least with the amp - I'm hopefully getting "cleaner" power.
