Car audio setup

Hi guys,


So I have decided to upgrade my car's audio. The car is an Auris (old spec). My budget is around 7-8k (I could try for 10 depending on the tax man). I have been trying to research brands etc as it really difficult to listen to car audio systems.

I was thinking of getting two pairs of splits , and a 10 inch sub, either a 5 channel amp or a 4 channel and a monoblock. Your thoughts on what brands, specifically what range in what brand I should look at? Any recommended dealers?

So far I have looked:

JL audio- TR series
Focal


Also, I have just found out that rear fill is not necessary (Dont have passengers very often), I guess I'm trying to simulate a surround stereo experience.

I have chatted to a few guys via pm, and they have been very helpful thus far, thanks for that!

Would be keen to hear other thoughts and opinions.
