So I took my papers and whatnot to one of these guys that does all the legwork for you. As it's in the Vaal Triangle, I check with him as to when he closes shop, he says the 16th December. I arrive there yesterday...... the F$&## B$%#@# has closed up shop and seems to have gone on holiday, leaving me without my licence disc for the holidays, and a lot of driving planned over the holidays. The licence is actually lying in his office, as he confirmed that he received it earlier.
Not sure what to do? Do I take the chance and drive around without the licence, take the chance of getting a R1000 fine if I get pulled over? Or do I brave the queues (not a good option, as this is my achilles heel) and somehow get a temporary licence, if that is at all possible? What would be required for this?
