I have 2 x MBQuart splits, 2 x MBQuart coaxials and 1 x JL Audio subwoofer that I removed from my previous car - and now popping them into my new car. Speakers handle roughly 90w RMS each and the subwoofer about 120w RMS.
I phoned the guys that usually help with my sound and asked them for a 5 channel high power amplifier. I ideally wanted more RMS per channel than what speakers/sub could handle - but they recommened a 4 channel x 75w RMS : 2 channels bridged for the subwoofer and the remaining 2 connected in serioes powering the 4 speakers.
To me that sounds like amplifier will strain with too many speakers and not being able to deliver the needed power :/
anyone else do this?
