Any car sound specialists around? If so, please help. I am looking for a 4 channel amp with built in active crossover function which will give me a crossover between 1 and 1.5Khz, preferably 24dB/Octave, high and low pass functions, i,e:
2 x Mid/Bass channels low passed at 1-1,5kHz
2 x Treble channels high passed at the same frequency
Subwoofer channel optional
Funny enough, most car multichannel amps contain a high pass filter for the subwoofer, alternatively also for tweeter but not a complementary low pass filter for the mid/bass
Al I could find so far was a unit by JL Audio (very expensive) and a 5 channel by MB Quart (a bit low on power output)
If a suitable multichannel amplifier does not exist, please advise on a suitable active crossover box. (No DSP or EQ necessary, the head unit already contains auto EQ)
This is for a rear shelf installation with Scanspeak Revelator 6.5" slit cone and Scanspeak 1.5" mid/tweeter.
