Hi all,
Not too sure where to place this thread. Thought DIY may be most appropriate due to the type of information I would get from the DIY guys and the fact that I would be doing things DIY and not using per-built speakers.
So I shall be getting my car within the next two months and am already planning some sound. Joined a local forum for the car and spoken to a few guys about what they have done for their sound etc.
I am not sure whether I am missing something although all of them use rather small enclosures for their subwoofers - I am not sure on the internal space but physically they are small when comapred to the subs which a lot of you have built on these forums and with regards to what would be recommended on here. It is not as if they are lacking space in their boot either.
Is there any reason why you would go for a smaller enclosure for a car as opposed to a Hi Fi system, provided you have the space for a larger enclosure?
I have 2x JBL 12" GT4 subs and would like to build a 60L sealed enclosure and pop that into my boot, although the looks I will get for a 60L enclosure will be rather entertaining
I am not worried about the looks I get provided it does sound good.
Is this the right place to be asking car related audio questions or should I rather look for a different forum and see if I am able to get better assistance there. I am a bit skeptical as most car audio forums / people seem to have limited knowledge when it comes to sound. A crossover is an unheard of thing, or they are not sure how it actually works
Thanks,
Psy
