My Dad's old CD player is packing up and he's looking for a replacement. He's a bit out of touch with what's out there these days and asked my advice. I however don't even have a dedicated CD player (using my Denon 1930 if I must) and prefer the ease and convenience of my ND-S1 and i-Pod.
Seeing as my father has mountains of CDs and it always takes him a while to track down anything specific, I thought the digital storage route might be the way to go for him. Unfortunately his equipment is relatively old (NAD 1000S pre-amp to NAD 2200 amp) so no co-ax connectivity.
What products are out there that offer the same convenience as something like the ND-S1 but with audiophile quality analogue output? Or would you suggest he stick to just getting a regular CD player?
