Let me post my finding on a shootout that Phase and i did yesterday.
Harman Kardan HD755 vs Sherbourn cd-1vs Arcam CD92
The HK has been in my system for a few years now and i never though of it as a rubbish player. It did the job and i was satisfied..........until i was given a Sherbourn to play with.
The Sherbourn blows that HK out of the water that its not even a contest.
Then we put the Sherbourn against the Arcam.
When Sherbourn merged with Emotiva there left over stock was being sold for stupid cheap prices.
The cd-1 originally sold for $899 then at the end they were sold for $349.
That $349 player stood up to the arcam and didnt back down at all. Only on the very top end was the arcam smoother by about less than 5%.
Overall the arcam wins but i will be keeping this Sherbourn no questions asked.
