i'm fairly sure that this has been asked before, but i can't seem to find a clear answer using the search function..
having discovered (it may actually pay to read the manuals in future) that my somewhat old iomega screenplay does in fact have a optical output, & does sound surprisingly good through the acoustic alchemy dac, i'm thinking of ripping my cds to flac.
i have started using eac, but it is painfully slow - running at around 3x speed it is going to take a ridiculously long time...
any suggestions on a quicker, but still accurate software to use?
