Centre speaker connection

Hi Guys,

I finally had some Hi Fi time this weekend and decided to hook up my new addition centre speaker, PSB Alpha C1 to my Yamaha RX V596.

Problem is the centre does not play when connected to the "centre speaker" connection at the rear. Sings when i connect it the main speaker connection (where its currently connected).

Im i doing soemthing wrong  :-[ or can the amp be faulty?
