Hi everyone, I'm thinking of re-designing the TV cabinet for a neater appearance and hiding cables. Looking specifically here for some advice on center speaker placement.
Has anyone tried their centers in a cabinet below the TV, and is it that much different to having it sitting open on a shelf? My concern is around boominess or echo.
My current TV cabinet cannot accommodate a centre below the TV so I cannot test to confirm. TV is on its legs on the cabinet (prefer not to wall mount), thus no space on top on the cabinet either.
My old center was fairly small, and was placed above the TV on a backing. My new center is large and thus a problem.
Just want to know what is the experience of those here on the forum, and if re-designing a cabinet, will it be OK to contain the center in a cabinet
Center has a rear port, and will most likely be running it at 70hz crossover.
