Changing Carts on An Akito (or any arm for that matter)

I'm trying to put a very temp cart on my Linn. I've read the Linn manual, but at no point is it exploit as to what needs to be done. What I do know is that if I don't do it right I don't have any bearings left.

So how do I do it? Must the whole arm thing come off? Or can I just loosen the Allen key that determines the height? I’m happy working on it. I’ve done the suspension etc. Someone help a little please?
