I really like my Maverick Audio Tubemagic dac. A discernible difference in the sound when compared with HDMI straight into my Integra - smoother treble, warmer overall - rounds off the rough edges nicely.
It interests me then to start thinking about what differences changing the tube might make to the sound - of course this is entirely new territory for me so I'm looking for guidance - anyone done this? - which tubes and where did you get them?
