Wife's 2013 Chev bakkie has developed a problem of battling to start after standing over night. It's a 1400 and as far as I'm aware it's normally asperated and not fuel-injected. It's not battery related as the engine cranks well. It takes but then immediately dies. After the 6/7/8 time it will start and splutter until you get it running and you can smell fuel as if it's flooding. After revving it a bit to get it idling OK you can switch off and it will start perfectly again for the rest of the day.
My thoughts are could it be an automatic chock that's not engaging or a carburetor problem i.e.. float level or something (may be talking rubbish here).
Anyone maybe have an idea what the problem could be? Thanks.
