Does anyone know what the cinema reference level is for bass? I know what the THX specification is, but am wondering what happens in practice here in SA?
I am busy with a quote on a large HT install in a dedicated case concrete basement room.
What I have planned will be capable of pretty much flat 126dB between 30Hz and 24kHz (excluding room gain and boundary gain effect) all day and night without breaking a sweat. Yip, even the centre channel will be capable of 126dB if given enough power ;D
2x 18 inch high efficiency subwoofers with room correction doing duty below about 85Hz or so (depending on the room). The other speakers will do the rest.
I am pretty sure this will be enough, but am wondering how it stacks up against what we hear at NuMetro, etc.
