Hi Guys
I am looking for a 5 channel power amp for my HT and they dont come round too often in the classifieds.
Decided to get a demo/loan Rotel RMB1575(5 X 250W) class D which will come to visit shortly for a few days.
I obviously need to sit down and listen for a couple of days and I am pretty sure the extra power and control is going to be WOW the first few days.
I have had various Rotel amps over the years and have been very happy with both stereo and HT however no class D amps.
Im pretty sure I can not go too wrong here using my RSX1067 as processor and to drive the centre back speakers with the RMB1575 driving the other 5. OR perhaps having theRSX1067 drive both sets of rears and BI-Amping my CDM9T's.
Eish the other idea is perhaps a RB1090 for the CDM9T's (they just love good gobs of power) a RB1080 for the center and let the RSX1067 power both sets of rears. ???
I have read some reviews on this amp which all seem pretty good.
I will let me own ears be the judge however I am weary of the initial WOW factor and then still en enjoying the unit months down the line.
Any thoughts on class D amps for both stereao and HT?
