I think my Marantz 1060 pots need some cleaning as there is a scratchy noise at times.....
If someone could advise, on the unit, the front plate can come off so should I spray the contact cleaner through there, at the gaps between the shafts for the knobs or should I take off the top and try to find a spot to spray in from that side?
Once I spray in the contact cleaner, should I just leave it to dry and for how long ?
At the moment I have a can of ?Herschell Electronic cleaner? and a can of ?Spanjaard Elec Kleen?, are these fine? Or can you recommend an alternate Contact cleaner?
While I?m working on the unit I want to open it up and also clean up the dust inside, can I just open it up and brush off the dust(at the same time vacuum the dust particles as they are released), or do u have an alternate suggestion for me ?
Are there any sprays I should spray on any of the components/boards to keep the performing at their best?
For keeping the fascia clean and shiny, any products to use or not to use?
Any other suggestions on things to look for and do while I?m giving my 1060 some TLC
