Ayre Acoustics, under the helm of Charles Hansen, has achieved real acceptance in the US and UK markets and their latest aspirational audio products are fine examples of intelligent design coupled with great engineering.

Making extensive use of CNC milling, Ayre's new KX-R preamp and MX-R monoblocks are really eye-catching pieces of audio sculpture:

What I find more impressive is the internal layout and the extent to which CNC milling from solid stock has been used to isolate sections of the circuits:

These are gorgeous - but at $18,500 for the KX-R and another $18,500 for a pair of MX-R monoblocks, they should be!

Way beyond my means, even if they were available here, one can still stand back and admire great craftmanship!
