So the Trouble-n-Strife agrees that we should start grinding. The Google-meister insists that a ceramic burr is a must to reduce heat. Most of the cheapies are blade grinders, so eliminated those.
Found a Krups burr grinder for not much ZAR:

- but on further investigation this isn't a ceramic conical burr but looks like 2 sets of very small diamond-coated saw blades. Not sure yet if they are ceramic or not.
So is this Krups grinder OK or a piece of Kraps? What about a manual grinder - I don't mind the elbow grease, just don't want to buy junk. I need some coffee connoisseur like Xenithon to put me out of my misery and tell me what to buy please ray:
