Hi All

After living with a Sony HTIB system (ugh) for many years, I picked up some Kef C1 bookshelves last year. Much better. Then a Kef sub for a 2.1 set-up. Sounded great in comparison. A little later I got a Kef iQ2C centre and appreciated the huge step up of the iQ series. Dialogue is crystal clear. So now a 3.1 that I'm looking to expand to 5.1 by moving the C1's to the back. I have a Yamaha 467 amp.

What front stereo pair to get? Music is only about 20%, mainly movies and some PS3 gaming. That said, when I listen to music I prefer running the amp in direct mode for 2.0 sound, despite the small speakers and no sub. Anything else and the amp over-processes the music despite my best efforts.

I'm not hell-bent on Kef, but would need something tonally close to the iQ2C. Or is the tonal match so important that I should just bite the expensive bullet and buy some new iQ series speakers? Perhaps someone here is looking to offload some good small floor-standers or bookshelves that will match. I'm in CT.

Thanks for reading my ramble and I'd appreciate any opinions of the knowledgeable around here.
