I am trying to use my AVR to handle my stereo bass management.
I have dac that I am running directly into my power amp (and swapping L&R pre-out with AVR). I wanted to use my sub as well but DAC has no sub management and sub out. So my idea was to use XLR outs to my power amp from DAC and then use RCA outs into X4300h and send the signal down both I will disconnect AVR L&R so it will only play sub.
One problem besides all the complexity will be volume matching output for speakers to Sub (I was thinking I could use DB meter app).
So my XLR cables arrive this afternoon so I am going to test this out but any ideas or suggestions. Not keen on Mini DSP yet, also don?t want to run dac into AVR for L&R as this will Re digitize signal A-D conversion so then dac is wasted?
