In Std 7 (yes, I am that old, I drooled over the high-end of hi-fi. At that time, to me, the CX and MX with a pair of M1000N's or Infinitiy IRS Gamma's were on my "to die for" list. Pehaps substituting with some Nakamichi (blank) where appropriate. The chaps from that time will obviously fill out the blank.
Now, here I am 40 odd years later, going half-deaf. Not even worth the effort pursuing any dream...
So, I lived a life dreaming my dream bit never achieving it. A life with regrets and also half-lived in thís context.
So what am I actually saying?:
1. Youngsters: Pursue that hi-fi dream - but not at the cost of your family and your other dreams. Life did not think it solvent enough to grant me that blessing.
2. To the experienced folks: By now you know what you want in hifi that will make and keep you happy. Chase thát. Don't waste life chasing the in-between upgrades.
Here's to good hifi. Enjoy the music. And if youe really have to, the system.
Just some humble thoughts...
