I just want to know when you connect a phonostage, eg a NAD pp3 or a Pro-ject box, to a amp that already has a built-in phonostage - do you still use the phono RCA inputs on the amp?
I know the external phonostage works for an amp that does not have a built-in phonostage, like my Yamaha where I connected it to one of the AV ins.
Was wondering seeing that a built-in phonostage already gives the right signal or voltage on the inputs. Does the external "overide" it?
I also have an old Pioneer CB-05(I think) amp with phonostage - will the Pro-ject sound better?
