I hv a contract with ADT which still has abt 14 months to go. My grieviance is that we have an agreement regarding how they must respond to the alarm and they have not been honouring the agreement. I've had discussions with them to have the issue rectified close to 10 times and I finally pulled the plug. I wrote them a contract cancellation letter and so far they are threatening that I will hv to pay the balance of the contract which I am disputing based on the fact that they have breached the contract.
Whats my legal standing regarding this? Am I right in saying that I have a right to cancel the contract and come out clean based on them breaching the contract?
