Cost effective, reliable way to send a letter overseas

Hi all. I need to send a letter to the UK with assured delivery. Two options I've looked at are EMS which is minimum R364 to the UK; and Postnet express (i.e., DHL) which is R380.

Any other suggestions for a reliable and fast (5-7 days) option to send a letter which may be more cost-effective?
