Been browsing some topics over the past few weeks and also been looking at what people are trying to achieve.
So a topic purely for some chit-chat about vinyl, it's merits and what we are trying to achieve going down that route.
This is not a digital v vinyl debate.
This quote got me thinking.
I have been singing the same old tune for years now that real good quality vinyl/analogue can not be achieved on a shoestring budget.
It will be interesting to know what forum members have used and tried to get the best possible sound.
What cartridges have members here heard, used or owned ?
What arms have they tried ?
What TT's have they owned and tried ?
Which phonostages have they tried and heard ?
I find this very interesting and my reasoning behind it is that I honestly think that most people play with stuff one can acquire from a flea-market and walk away very disappointed.
