Hi all, I want to hear what wisdom the forum guru's have to offer in terms of couriering of hifi items. I'm transporting 2 boxes containing 30kgs each of decent equipment from Joburg to Cape Town, and while I've got a private solution in place to ship these boxes, I'm interested to hear how it's done by the commercial guys and frequent buyers & sellers. So far I've learnt that Postnet can do door to door, but have a 12kg per package limit and what they call a volumetric factor limit of 5000, which equates to a box of 50cm x 40cm x 30cm. DAWN and Fastway won't touch a once-off request. They require an account with them.
Would be great to learn a thing or 2 from those that have been there and done that!
