.I've been reading and reading and not understanding. Exactly what is the difference between butterworth, bessel and linkwitz-riley XO's?
It seems the topologies are the same, it's just a different combination of component values?
But then I find something that says L-R is just a cascaded B'worth. But needs a buffer between sections.
Is the topology basically the same, a first, second, third order, but component values chosen differently? In that case if I do the design in SW I would then have no choice.
Maybe just go for second or third order b'worth as safe option.
Very confused. Sucking thumb.
