Bulls vs Western Province 22/08/2015
Eina! The Bulls were playing my kind of rugby. Totally New Zealand style. Time was when, if someone had to ask you which South African team that was, the answer would have been WP/Stormers. There are other teams that have dabbled with this free style of rugby, notably Free State and The Lions. In fact, if you watch Vodacom Cup, you will see more of this free style. But this, for me, was the most convincing implementation at the top level. With the Stormers/WP, it was always the case of the potency/danger of their back line, but for me there was a clear sense of "we're doing this".
And, to us WP fans: "That's right. That just happened."
