So, my birthday is approaching at a very high speed... And I'm considering upgrading my headphone audio set-up.
I love my Senn HD 650's, the way they scale, the sound from them, everything! -- used to run with Oyaide HPC-X62, until the cable got damaged, now waiting for my custom plusSound Exo Series Custom cable to arrive [ Ground: Copper (Type 2 Trans Black: ) / Signal: Pure Silver (Type 6) Hybrid].. so I doubt I'll replace these headies anytime soon...
My current DAC is an Asus Xonar Essence One [OpAmp upgraded with LM4562NA + MUSES02]... Running from Foobar via ASIO [playing around with AMIP a bit too], and powering the Senn HD650's.
So I'm thinking of upgrading my DAC to something more AwEsOmE, and moving to the next level/stage in terms of my DAC/HeadAmp
My budget is Around R.10k I can move it up, if need be, but unless Sienna Guillory personally delivers the HeadAmp, I doubt I'll go close to R.20k
Please make suggestions, comments on other folks suggestions, including where I can source it from [locally or an international website that ships to SA]
Greatly appreciated!
