With all the cable threads here during the past few weeks, I was inspired to teach Judy my dachshund how to distinguish between good and bad audio cable. So I started about a month ago with letting her listen to various types of speaker cable.
I have long been an admirer of the Russian Pavlov and how he trained his dogs and with some modifications, I more or less adopted his methods by substituting bear meat with Spar MJ brand biltong snapsticks.
On a scale of 1 to 5 burps in place of the more conventional star rating one finds in cable reviews, her training was completed late yesterday afternoon.
So this morning I wanted to post this important breakthrough here and bent down to switch on my trusty computer and saw numerous chewed pieces of sheathing and lots of frazzled strands of copper laying on the floor behind the Sansui AU-317 MK11 which I use for computer sound.
The speaker wires the bloody bitch chewed was that very thick and stiff red and black ripcord. The left channel's wires were completely chewed-off and the right channel's + was hanging by a single copper strand.
Before I discovered this mess, I heard sounds coming from the dog's stomach rather like a Decca frequency response test record I have here and gave her an anti-nausea tablet which had no effect.
I have since repaired the damage to the wires but what do I do with the dog and its gutsfull of plastic sheathing and pieces of copper wire?
mafioso
