Hey..hey .... hey... my 21 year old daughter came home from George today with a Musica packet. Inside was her 1st LP.... Imagine Dragons. She asked me to show her what to do with it. I must say, the quality of LPs today is nothing like the stuff I have in the rack from yester year. Heavier and flatter...at R250,00.
Showed her how to spin up the glass platter on the Rega with her finger, then use the brush before lifting and lowering the arm on the lead-in. ( She didn't know where to put it ...the things I took for granted )
We're onto the second side already and not a single click or pop....what a revelation !! ..... and I love the sound. But.... where I am today, nothing beats the convenience of streaming flac and controlling it all with the cell. If I had a regular income or decent work I may be tempted to start investing in vinyl again but I've learned to be content with and enjoy what I have at the moment.
She's now in my chair ....you know.... the single one in the sweet spot ......... now what ???
