While reading this thread http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,38521.0.html and enquiring about the 400wrms amp kits, I remembered that a chap once mentioned "damping factor" of an amplifier. Google seems to have lots of misconceptions about this measurement, with some hectic calculations, which for a coloured boytjie is just a tad bit to much So in laymans terms, what is it and what is your take on it. How important is it for an amplfier to have a high "damping factor". Is it the lower frequencies that benefit more, or does the entire frequency range benefit from it.
