Hi, Went to see Dan Patlansky and band perform at the Barnyard Emperor's Palace yesterday evening, what a musician and performer! Makes that guitar talk, wail, moan and any number of other things. I've been a fan of blues rock for many years and he's definitely up with the best of them and what's best is he's a South African, went with the whole family, and at R150 per ticket I could take them all for far less than 1 ticket to an international "star".
I've listened to Jeff Beck, Clapton, BB King, Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix and many more... unfortunately none of them live and in person, but I think Dan is right up there with any of those and he's still young and on his way up, he just needs that one track that captures the publics' attention and he'll be a superstar... that's the kind of local music I really don't mind supporting!
