Good evening.
Someone I know has an external HDD that is no longer an accessible HDD when connected to their computer. It powers on and turns, along with an occasional click sound, but it doesn't appear to be detected by the computer, in lay speak. There is data that they would like to retrieve from the HDD. I thought it may be the pcb that converts the SATA output of the HDD to USB that has broken, but after taking the HDD out of the casing I realised that this HDD only has a USB 3 mini port on its pcb and not a SATA connector.
Can anyone recommend a data recovery service in Johannesburg that could help?
