Thank you all for the feedback. I will do the firmware update and see if that helps. I have made a recording of the playback. If that does not help I will mail the source file and result file to Alvin and see what he says? [member=14393]XL1000[/member] I could not hear it while playing normal music but it is very audible when you play these short sine sweeps. No special ears required. My gut feeling is that this will however have a significant impact on the actual sound of music. Just for further reference I have also changed the source completely and played the .wav file directly from my Windows PC using Audacity. Same Results. There is nothing complex in the source file. It is not a high res PCM or DSD file. Ordinary CD quality. If any of you want to test this with your DACS you should be able to do the same. Here are the files https://www.daytonaudio.com/images/resources/OmniMicV2/Omni_Mic_Test_Tracks.zip I am playing Track 02 - Short Sine Sweep. After a few seconds it becomes more and more "muffled" as the high frequencies drop off. If you look at the source file you will see clearly that it plays the same sweep over and over. There should be no change in sound
