Morning all, I had further feedback from Alvin. He could not simulate the problem on his desktop setup using an Ares II as well as a Pontus II. I have send him my windows driver details but I am mostly using Linux Roon RAAT. I had the same results on Windows when I tested it using the Denafrips driver on Windows and playing through Audacity just to use a very "arbitrary" program. I am now more convinced than ever that it is a firmware bug. Lets hope Alvin and Denafrips proof me right and sort this out.
