I'm toying with the idea of getting one of these and getting rid of my trusted Yammie RXV861. The only reason I'm even considering this is because:
1. I'd like more HDMI inputs
2. Because of built in Network and FLAC support, I can get rid of one of the Squeezeboxes.
3. It supports the HD audio formats.
4. Supports iPods through the front USB port
5. I've got an itch.
I'm not interested in using it for music, but it should sound at least as good as the Yammie. Now, I'm not unhappy with the Yammie so I don't think I'm loosing out too much, but the Denon does have some really cool features. I've got a feeling I'm being stupid here (as I'm likely to get very little for the Yammie). I'm also wondering how good the video upscaling on this unit is? Would it upscale video from, say, SD content on an HD PVR better than what my Samsung display does?
I see Cats Digital has them for around R8k, any other suggestions for dealers I can try?
