I'm toying with the idea of purchasing a second subwoofer to place at the back of my home theatre. I'm thinking of either going for another 10" sub like the one I currently own or going for the 12" step up. The idea being that I would place the larger one in the front and the smaller one to the back.

Looking at the specifications though, it doesn't look like there's much difference between the two other than  a slight difference in frequency response. Overall the both have a frequency range of 13 - 240Hz but within +/- 3dB there's only a 2 Hz difference at the bottom end.

Do you think the difference would be audible or would I be better off spending the extra pennies on a Y splitter and new cable?
