Hey guys.

I need some advice. I was given a Jamo C80 sub that has dual 10 inch drivers in. The plate amp is completely toasted and not repairable. The drivers, on the other hand, are still in perfect working condition.

My plan is to remove the 2x 10 inches and build them into new enclosures and drive them from a Behringer NX3000D.

I have a minidsp plate amp but it really didn't work well in the existing enclosure as the mini dsp amp itself isn't sealed. Major air leaks through the XLR and RCA connectors. Also it just didn't seem to have enough power to drive both drivers.`

So I want to separate them into new enclosures and then parallel them to bring it into a 4ohm load.

The current design is sealed back to back drivers wired both in phase and completely sealed.

The questions are do I stay with sealed enclosures? Do I move to ported enclosures? Downward firing? Forward firing? Rear Ported? Front ported?

LOL loads of questions there I know but some advice would be much appreciated.

As well as enclosure sizes.
