Not too many updates on these at the moment, work is happening, just slowly. The one stand is totally welded up. On the weekend I drilled 4x10mm holes in the base so I could fill each leg up with sand. So these are def not going to be lightweights. After a very time consuming sand filling, I filled the holes. Before: After: http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b612/fmr555/8ABF55F0-A84F-4D29-B824-968F2DCA13B5_zpsr67ssktr.jpg Next is the even more time consuming job of flatting all the welds down. The ones on the outside are easy to do, grinder with a flapper wheel. Its the internal ones that are the pain, a combo of a cutting bit in the drill and a good old hand file. The second stand is still in its component pieces and waiting to be welded together. I better get a move on with these, as I need to make some drawers for my work bench, and then start on the shelving for the study..........One day I will learn to outsource some work and stop trying to make everything myself.
