Morning all
I live in small northern suburbs community in Cape Town, As many of you may know, water is a bit of a drama here....
I'd like to drill a wellpoint, but water is a bit hit and miss where I live. So I'm reluctant to spend a couple of thousand with only a 50/50 chance of hitting water, and then have an installer want to charge me additional to try on various part of my mid-sized property.
Sooo, I'm planning on buying a manual well auger, which I can drill anywhere on my property to a depth of 6 meters (12 meters with extensions). You can user it over and over, and if I fail I can just sell it on. Most importantly, I don't need a thousand litres of water to do the drilling either, it can be done basically dry with an occasional splash to help things along.....
Has anyone here done anything like this before?
