Hi,

I recently got a new home theatre system. My system consists of the Polk Rti-A5 fronts, Csi-20 centre and Rti-A1 surrounds. I have 2x Jamo sub300s for LFE duty. My room size is 6m x 4m.

I went to a cinema the other night, and I noticed something really interesting - the bass response in the cinema sounded deeper and tighter than in my system.
For example, in a fighting scene, when a punch was thrown, you could hear a loud "crack" at the cinema. In my HT, it booms ever so slightly, but lacks that real deep, "in your face" boom feeling. I've adjusted my sub levels to just over 80db on my SPL (5db more than the rest of the system), so they are definitely loud enough.

I see a few websites that have some info on the sub300 subs, list them as being more "musical" than suited for HT.

So I decided to look overseas, and found the following sub to have GREAT reviews, and best of all, it can work with 220V (ED, Bic America Emotiva all are stuck on 120V).

I might though have to settle (budget wise) for 1x VTF-2 MK3 sub instead of my 2x Jamo sub300s.

So my qs are:
1) Would I be happier with the HSU sub as it reaches all the way down to 18Hz? This would probably increase the HT experience way more and give me that extra deep, "in your face" boom feeling that I'm looking for?
2) Is it a silly trade off to give up my 2x Jamo subs for 1x HSU sub (at least until I can afford a 2nd one)?

Thanks in advance!
