I realise that I may be flogging a dead horse here, but while there has been some comment on the topic, I've yet to see a definitive answer. The question is, "Has anyone used or built a subwoofer riser, and has it made a difference?". There are lots of stories about the real difference people have heard when using them. But most stories are simply personal perceived improvements. I'm asking is anyone here has measured differences? If you've built one or two, what plans did you use? I have made one or two in the past and they seemed to make a difference. However, it's back to perceptions. I was not able to measure the differences.
I'm convinced that they will make a difference where the floors are wooden floors, but concrete floors ... I'm not sure concrete floors have the same problems.
Again I'd like to avoid theoretical responses. please reply if you have built one and what difference it made - perceptions. Then please reply if you have actually measured difference. Thanks
Here's an old thread that went nowhere :vsad:: http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,7553.msg89301.html#msg89301
